What’s happening in 2019…?

It’s January 16th, and we’re back to work, full stream ahead. This is a bit of a long one, but it’s important to me, so if you’re short on time, please skip to the end and you can catch my recap and claim your FREE gift.

For nearly 8 years, We Are Creative has strived to provide our clients with the best quality marketing products and services. Our prices have always been great, and our clients appreciate that. That’s why when I look back at our customer list over the years, I see the same names year after year – I thank you for that.

WeRC has incurred it’s fair share of growing pains over all these years, but with each we’ve learned a lot about running a business, and about who we are and what we want to do. So as we get ready to start a brand new year I thought now was the perfect time to give you a little update on the direction of the company.

Effective September I have once again become a solopreneur – managing the company and doing all the work myself. For the the immediate future I will not have any regular, in-office employees, but instead I may hire freelancers to help out when needed. What this means for you is that it could take a little longer to get a new project designed, as I will be scheduling all jobs and projects to better maximize my time. Simple tasks, such as reordering business cards will fall into my flex-time, with typical turnaround on these types of jobs being a week, give or take a day or two. “Super rush” jobs are not likely something that I will be able to accommodate moving forward. While I’m not trying to push away any business, I need you to understand my situation so that I can best manage your expectations. Overall this is going to work much better for most, as I will be able to manage all of the jobs coming in, and keep things moving smoothly and on schedule through my workflow. 

Hopefully by now you know that We Are Creative has been designing websites for the past few years, and well, I think I’ve been doing a pretty good job at it too. Website design is going to be one of my main focuses moving forward. I’ll also be offering other digital media and online marketing services, such as social media management, content creation, email marketing programs, and more. (But more about all that stuff in the future.) Basically, WeRC is going digital –– are you coming? 

“But what about printing?” I still believe that print is an important part of your company’s marketing. I will continue to provide printing services where I can,and if not, I will gladly refer you to one of my amazing suppliers who will get your job done. Ideally what I would love to do is develop relationships with companies that need marketing help but do not have an internal marketing department. Instead of hiring multiple employees to handle all the various marketing roles your company needs, you could just outsource your marketing services to We Are Creative and get an all-in-one:
• Graphic designer 
• Website designer 
• Print shop
• Marketing coordinator 
• Copywriter 
• Brand specialist 
• Social media manager 
• Content creator
• Creative director

I will also be continuing to grow my niche in the sports world, through the promotion of Sports Marketing Allstars, a division of WeRC. I am excited about the opportunity to work with more athletes, teams, leagues, organizations, events, suppliers, retailers, health/wellness, training and development programs – basically anything sports related. And last but not least, another area of focus that I now have some great experience in, is Event Marketing and Promotion.From the creative and branding, to the web and social media promotion, to the print and onsite marketing – WeRC can be your one-stop shop to help you create and promote your own amazing event!

So, why all the changes? Well, here’s the deal. I’ve been lucky to have some really wonderful people work for me over the years – you may remember Angie, Erin, Charlene, Brooke, Becca, Melissa, and Tina. They’ve all helped get the company to where it is today, but what I realized is that I had been spending too much time trying to manage the company and not enough time doing the thing that I loved most – the actual creative work. As I was expanding the business, I would try to take on every little job that we could. Truth is, a lot of these “little jobs” just aren’t worthwhile for me to do. It’s nothing personal, it’s just business. But if I can’t do a job, I will always try to point you to someone who can.
